I loved yestrdays episode just finished watching except when ammaji came in the pic it ruined everything.

CB- Good morning to you too, and all the rest of the early birds in the US in this chat “hall” (room is too small now). Hun ek dum majama chu. However, my wife turned into Ammaji last evening and treated me like Radhika. Only a previously planned visit to a mutual friend resolved the tiff. By the night rolled over, our melodrama had subsided and I even got a healthy breakfast of two sunny side ups and freshly ground coffee this morning. She is planning to go to India for only 5 days in October but has big shopping plans. Poor me, will become poorer post-visit.

CB-responding to 4 above, I got such a kick out the term Nethra’s son coined for Ammaji, Frog-Face, that for the last two days, Ammaji has actually become a comical character for me because all I see in her is various moods of an actual frog!!! Am I impressionable or what?

Since nobody else appears to be up this morning, I retract my “Good Mornings” and will log on back around 9:30 EST.

Rubs – Let’s all stop worrying about a few English errors here and there. For none of it’s our first language, and the whole purpose of any language is to get the communication across. None of us is either positively or negatively going to be affected because we made a few errors. God knows we make a lot more grievous errors in life which are not corrected for a long time.

Any way, here goes the synopsis. Radhika gets foundout by the Munshiji in the room where the murtis are kept; he wouldn’t let her take those idols back to the temple, she uses the age-old bollywood concept of a threat of a sucidal self-sacrifice and dares Munshiji to become a willing participant in the ensuing cardinal sin. Let’s see what happens on Monday.

Finally, and thank God for that, the writers used their brains and came up with a couple of good lines to the effect that “Punya kharida nahi jata, kamaya jata hai”. At least it added some semblance of legitamcy to this otherwise stupid storyline.

CDA, I forgot to respond back to your comments, YES! nethra means “eyes” in sanskrit. But sorry never heard of that runaway model. Left India a long time ago. My name is so unusual, that I hear that only during the pooja time by the priets I personally never come across a single another soul called nethra. My actuall name spelling was netra, where during in school in convent, it automatically changes to nethra. Anyways, its good, people can pronounce that correct now, with a “th” than just “t”. Looka like today’s episode is interesting!!!!

Good morning Nethra: I too have been here a very long time. But remeber that old Salem Cigarette commercial? You can take Salem out of the country but can’t take country oout of Salem. Well, they can’t take India out of my system if i were to be a 1000. Generally, “h” after “t” as in Nethra, is a sure fire indication of south Indian origine. Is that true in your case? may be Karalite?

I don’t know what to say after watching today’s episode!!!! The writer has to drag the story anyways, so its going on…… Hopefully our chocolate hero Dev is going to track the house from ph number and will resuce his dream girl. I am sure, even if munshi lets her to take the murtis, she cannot carry them akeli… waiting for monday’s episode.

Now I have to go and strighten up my husband’s home office room. Because, during my husband’s absence in our house my son( not 8yrs yet, but almost in a month and a half) says he is the man of the house, and takes up his father’s office to do his 3rd grade HW( he even takes his father’s BMers keys and keeps it ). So cute, he says he will protect his mom and sisters from the spiders, ants and flys ( anything bigger than these, he will run away and I have to go finish that business ), if he spots them first, because his sisters freaks out at the site of them. My son, reminds me so much of the “uttar kumar” of mahabharat.

I don’t want to bore ya’ll with my story, but thought of sharing. Our favorite Choti -Bahu has brought us all close like friends, even though we don’t see each other at all. Whether you guys like or not, I am going to say hi and bye to ya’ll everyday

You are right CDA, why worry about some silly typos, english is not our language anyways, its a way to communicate. Fortunately or unfortunately we have so many different languages in India.
look, my daughter who is in middle school, have an option to pick spanish/french/german/japanese/korean/chinese etc, but even with such big indian population here non indian language. Not even hindi. My daughter always argue with me, why not hindi al least at school, please go and talk to the school district. If they introduce hindi, then there… I sure….is going to be protest from people from different regions of india to consider their languages…. so Ido not want to get into this… just a FYI..

CDA, sorry to hear about your BMW, I know its value, but kids think, parents were always rich here, as they were not here when we first arrived to this country. Anyways, I don’t want to go into that. But he is fortunate to sit on my lap and drive my toyota sequioa, after I pick him up from school.

Rubina, isn’t it so funny, the way sons behave????? My girls wer very quite and dolls, but its very hard to shut up my son even for a minute. He is always, making some kind noises.

I want to share one more bahaduri about my son. When I tell him to stay put, I will be rt back, I have some work up stairs, he says that;s fine, but even before I go up, he is already there standing in front of me:biggrin: ( we have rear staircase) got it

But an invisible bond has been created between us..
that’s much stronger than any showing relation..

does she really has existance in this live world or not..
either some one has created Suhana..

mujhe is se koi fark nahi padta main usse kabhi mil bhi paunga ya nahi..

Hello gang. Happy Navratri from Sarasota too.

Thanks to CB’s lead, saw that SBS Sept 19, Part 1, at 1 am while also watching Sa Re Ga Ma Pa that I had missed earlier in the evening. A scheduled small gathering at our house turned to be a rather big unplanned dinner party that just broke up. Got on the computer to check mails and had to look up the site.

What is Avinash’s connection with Baroda? Did he grow up there or something? His Gujju is better than mine, even if it is just those two lines.

CB, any big dandia plans in MIA? I plan to make a fool of myself next weekend on the dandia floor. My wife’s very able friends are nice enough to let me do the simple steps with them(5 beats, but not 11 beats).

Hoping for all of you to be rocking in rhythmatic unison at some point during the next 10 days.

Avinash is from Baroda he not born there but grown up. All his friends are also Gujju. His gujju is even better then mine even though iam born and brought in Baroda. He is right you have the best Garba in baroda.
